Meet the Mech

The World's First Industrial Superhumanoid

March 17, 2025

Dexterity, a global leader in Physical AI and robotics, today announced the launch of Mech, the first industrial superhumanoid robot designed specifically to transform enterprises. With two arms mounted on a rover, Mech can navigate to workstations across warehouses or industrial sites and perform stressful, repetitive tasks.

Mech has been engineered from the ground up to bring human skill and superhuman strength to industrial environments. Leveraging Dexterity's advanced Physical AI makes tackling new tasks as simple as installing a new app.

Enterprises worldwide face mounting pressure to improve efficiency while maintaining workplace safety. Mech directly addresses these challenges by combining dexterity and intelligence to seamlessly perform tasks that require complex planning and heavy lifting, such as loading and unloading trucks, palletizing and depalletizing boxes, and order picking from low-cost racks.

Mech has beyond-human strength, capable of effortlessly lifting up to 130 lbs (65 lbs per arm) and placing boxes as high as 8 feet in the air—far exceeding the capabilities of existing humanoid robots. Beyond its speed and strength, Mech works natively in the demanding conditions of brownfield industrial sites, integrating with existing infrastructure and legacy automation systems. With four independently steerable wheels, Mech can navigate autonomously to where the most physically demanding tasks are and can immediately begin lifting, loading, packing, palletizing, building, and more, with the press of a button.

Dexterity’s Physical AI runs directly on Mech’s onboard AI supercomputer, utilizing hundreds of AI models to intelligently tackle a variety of challenging scenarios—such as stacking random arrays of boxes, coordinating its dual arms in tight spaces, and delicately handling crushable packages through an advanced built-in sense of touch. Mech is further enhanced by up to 16 onboard cameras that help Mech understand what it is picking and determine the best packing strategy while loading and palletizing—in temperatures ranging from 32 to 122°F.

One associate can simultaneously manage and monitor up to 10 Mechs, dramatically reducing injuries associated with repetitive stress and heavy lifting tasks.

To further increase its flexibility and efficiency, Mech can be easily upgraded with new software apps that enable it to learn and perform additional complex tasks. The initial application available at launch is a specialized truck-loading app, with additional task-specific apps planned for release later this year.

“We are tremendously excited to introduce Mech, our groundbreaking industrial superhumanoid designed specifically to revolutionize logistics,” said Samir Menon, CEO and Founder of Dexterity. “Mech represents a major leap forward in our mission to empower people with intelligent, flexible robots that safely and efficiently solve complex, labor-intensive industrial challenges. Combining human-like adaptability with superhuman strength and sophisticated Physical AI, Mech will fundamentally transform logistics operations around the world.”

Mech is available to Dexterity’s industrial and enterprise customers for truck loading, with new software applications scheduled throughout 2025 to extend its capabilities further.
